Feeling the festive spirit this Christmas in Millmerran

The festive spirit will glow in Millmerran this year with $2325 – secured through the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal under its Tackling Tough Times Together (TTTT) initiative – for catering and local entertainment Maranoa MP David Littleproud said today.

“Christmas is a special time when we all get together with our loved ones and I’m glad that the annual Millmerran Christmas Carols received some funding support,” Mr Littleproud said.

“During these difficult, dry times it’s important to support one another and nothing sends out that message quite like Christmas Carols when the community gets together and can enjoy themselves.

“The great thing about TTTT grants is that locals stand together and rally as one, are proud of what projects are supported and this really helps to boost morale in these difficult times.

“The aim of this funding support is to enhance community health, wellbeing, and make way for locals across Maranoa to get involved as volunteers and support organisations that give back to the community.”

Communities in Maranoa received a total $112,325 in grants from an allocation of $1 million supporting 30 projects in Round 14 of TTTT initiative.

The Federal Government has provided $15 million to the TTTT initiative.
