NDIS Forum ~ Warwick

DO you have questions or want to know more about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?

I will hold a NDIS community information and question-and-answer forum in Warwick on November 15.

I wanted to hold this forum so our community could learn more about the NDIS and bring up any concerns so they can be addressed.

The NDIS is administered by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). Staff from the NDIA will attend this forum to listen and offer assistance about the Southern Downs rollout.

I’m holding this session to give our community a chance to speak with the NDIA and hopefully iron out any kinks.

It’s a once-in-a-generation landmark reform and the NDIS is making a real difference, especially in rural communities like ours.

I believe one of the biggest tragedies for our rural communities is when a loved one is forced to move away – move to a larger town or city, away from family and everything they’ve ever known – to receive care.

The NDIS rollout is making a difference to this.

From accessing personal care and support to providing therapy services and essential equipment – the NDIS is the new way of providing support for people with a disability, their families and carers in Australia.

The NDIS helps about 460,000 Australians aged under 65 with a permanent or significant disability.
