As the festive season approaches, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
There’s no doubt 2024 has been a memorable year for our country and our Maranoa electorate.
Among the countless highlights of the year were the performances of our home-grown athletes on the
international stage at the Paris Olympics.
I’m confident this year will live long in our memories, and I encourage everyone to take some time over the holiday period to reflect on the achievements of 2024.
To me, there’s no better way of doing that than spending quality time with family, friends, and those closest to us.
The holidays also provide us with a great opportunity to support small businesses by shopping locally and enjoying the best of what our Maranoa electorate has to offer.
I urge everyone to shop locally this Christmas because our communities are home to some of the best products in the nation.
Travelling long distances is also common over the holiday period, so please also remember to take care while driving these holidays and to take a break every two hours.
