Federal Government Funding Opportunities

Whether you’re a volunteer, a small business owner, a RSL wanting to preserve and honour your community’s service and sacrifice, or a young person in need of financial assistance to represent your sport – there are a number of Federal Government funding and grant opportunities available through GrantConnect, the Community Grants Hub and Regional Development Australia – Darling Downs & South West, Central & Western Queensland and Wide Bay Burnett.

STRONGER COMMUNITIES PROGRAMME ROUND 10 EOI FORM

You can apply for a grant between $2,500 and $20,000.

To be eligible, expenditure must be a direct cost of the project, must relate to eligible activities and include:

the cost of suppliers and contracted labour undertaking the eligible activities
the cost of obtaining planning, architectural, engineering, design and consultant fees or environment or other regulatory approvals for undertaking the eligible activities
the purchase, warranty and subscription or support membership of assets, equipment and materials, lease or hire of equipment required for undertaking the eligible activities.

EOI applications are open here.

Expressions of interest will be assessed by an independent community panel. Recommendations from the panel will then be assessed for eligibility by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR). DISR will invite eligible nominees to apply for a grant for their project by sending them a link to the grant portal.

If your organisation requires a letter of support for your grant application, please email my office with details about your organisation, what funding you are applying for, and what the funding will be used for. Please also provide your deadline so we can do our best to work within your timeframe.
