Federal Government Funding Opportunities

Whether you’re a volunteer, a small business owner, a RSL wanting to preserve and honour your community’s service and sacrifice, or a young person in need of financial assistance to represent your sport – there are a number of Federal Government funding and grant opportunities available through GrantConnect, the Community Grants Hub and Regional Development Australia – Darling Downs & South West, Central & Western Queensland and Wide Bay Burnett.

Volunteer Grants
Expressions of Interest - CLOSED

Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 are available to eligible not-for-profit community organisations to support the efforts of their volunteers.

Further information can be found here: Forecast Opportunity View – FO2024-2610: GrantConnect

All EOIs will now be assessed by an independent community panel, with successful applicants to then be notified and formally invited to apply.

Stronger Communities Programme
Expression of Interest - OPEN

Grants between $2,500 to $20,000 are available to eligible not-for-profit community organisations to deliver infrastructure projects that provide social benefits. The maximum cost of your project cannot exceed $50,000.

There are significant changes to the Grant Opportunity Guidelines for Round 9 of the Stronger Communities Programme, including important changes requiring projects to align with to program objectives (section 2) and be one of a list of specific eligible project activities (section 5.1).

Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the Grant Opportunity Guidelines to determine if your organisation and project is eligible to apply and submit an Expression of Interest form to my office.

Further information can be found here: Stronger Communities Programme Round 9 | business.gov.au

Please complete and return the  ‘Expression of Interest Form’ and submit before 5pm, Friday 7 February 2025.

Forms should be emailed to David.Littleproud.MP@aph.gov.au

All EOIs will be assessed by an independent community panel, with successful applicants to then be notified and formally invited to apply.
