GREAT TURNOUT AT YARRAMAN MOBILE OFFICE AS COMMUNITY CALLS FOR LOCAL GP
Federal Member for Maranoa David Littleproud held a mobile office in Yarraman this week, with a great turnout of locals coming along to the Yarraman Bakery to raise their concerns.
Mr Littleproud said the number one issue raised on the day was the community’s urgent need for a local doctor.
“It was fantastic to see so many locals come along and have a chat,” Mr Littleproud said.
“But the message was loud and clear, Yarraman needs a local GP.”
Mr Littleproud also visited the Yarraman Pharmacy during his visit, where staff reinforced just how badly the community needs local access to a doctor.
“The team at the pharmacy are seeing firsthand the gap this is leaving. In some cases, locals are having to wait up to six weeks just to see a doctor in Kingaroy.”
“That’s simply not good enough. No one should have to wait that long to see a GP, especially when there are real health concerns that need attention sooner rather than later.”
Mr Littleproud said he would continue to advocate strongly on this issue.
“This is a matter I will keep raising and keep advocating on, Yarraman deserves better access to healthcare, and I won’t let this issue drop.”
