LONGREACH STUDENTS TO TAKE THE STAGE AT QPAC
Federal Member for Maranoa, David Littleproud MP, has welcomed $30,000 in Australian Government funding that will give 100 rural and remote students the opportunity to perform at Queensland’s most celebrated stage.
The Longreach P&C Association has been awarded a 2026 Regional Arts Fund Project Grant for From the Bush to the Big Stage – QPAC 2026, which will bring students from the remote outback to perform at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in Brisbane.
Mr Littleproud said the project was an outstanding opportunity for young people in the region.
“For students growing up in outback Queensland, a chance to show case their talents and perform at QPAC is an amazing opportunity,” Mr Littleproud said.
“I congratulate the Longreach P&C for putting this project together.”
The Regional Arts Fund is an Australian Government program supporting sustainable cultural development in regional and remote communities, administered by Regional Arts Australia.
