As Anzac Day 2025 approaches, Leader of The Nationals and Federal Member for Maranoa David Littleproud is urging Maranoa residents to commemorate the important day.
This year marks the 110th anniversary of the Anzacs’ first landing at Gallipoli, where the Anzac legend was first born.
“This year, I will be commemorating Anzac Day with a dawn service in Stanthorpe, before attending the march and mid-morning service in Warwick,” Mr Littleproud said.
“I’m confident locals from across the Maranoa electorate will come together and honour our returned servicemen and women in the respectful way they deserve.”
Mr Littleproud added it was important to encourage the electorate’s young people to get involved, to ensure the legacy of remembrance carries on for generations.
“At its heart, Anzac Day is a time for us to personally reflect on the sacrifices of our service personnel, who have served and continue to serve our country.
“We will remember the more than 100,000 Australians who have sacrificed their lives, fighting for our freedom.
“Whether it’s attending a local dawn service or march, we can all proudly carry on the legacy of acknowledging service and sacrifice on Anzac Day 2025.”
