MILLMERRAN MURAL TO MARK CAMP OVEN FESTIVAL
Federal Member for Maranoa, David Littleproud MP, has welcomed $5,282 in Australian Government funding for a community mural project in Millmerran.
The Millmerran Arts Council has been awarded a 2026 Regional Arts Fund Project Grant to deliver the Millmerran Community Mural Project – Camp Oven Festival.
Regional artist Alex Stalling will design and facilitate the creation of a large-scale collaborative public mural on the exterior wall of the Sundowner Hotel on Millmerran’s main street, timed to coincide with this year’s iconic Australian Camp Oven Festival.
Mr Littleproud said the project was a wonderful celebration of local identity.
“This mural will be a lasting piece of public art right in the heart of Millmerran’s main street” Mr Littleproud said.
“The Regional Arts Fund is getting funding into the hands of local artists and organisations to deliver projects that have genuine meaning for their communities.”
The Regional Arts Fund is an Australian Government program supporting sustainable cultural development in regional and remote communities, administered by Regional Arts Australia.
