$3000 payments now open Maranoa MP says  

If you’re a farmer, farm worker, farm supplier or contractor, you may be eligible for the $3000 Drought Community Support Initiative payment and Maranoa MP David Littleproud is urging you to apply.

“This payment can be used by people in our farming community to for groceries, vehicle maintenance, energy & utility bills, health & medical expenses,” Mr Littleproud said.

“Getting on top of life expenses is tough during drought and that’s what this payment is designed for.

“Within your Local Government Area, The Salvation Army is managing these payments.

“This $3000 payment is part of our commitment – more than $8 billion – to support drought-affected communities across Australia with interest free loans, water infrastructure, education assistance, infrastructure and community grants.”

The $3000 payments is being delivered through Round Two of the $33.42 million Drought Community Support Initiative .
