New facilities for students at Cunnamulla’s Sacred Heart Primary School

Member for Maranoa David Littleproud today announced Cunnamulla’s Sacred Heart Primary School will benefit from a new library, learning support, covered lunch area and student amenities thanks to $767,765 secured through the Capital Grants Program.

“The Federal Government wants to give regional students the best chance to succeed and having state-of-the-art facilities benefits the whole school community,” Mr Littleproud said.

“The new library and learning support facilities will enhance the learning environment and help students develop skills needed in the 21st century workforce.

“Education is a state responsibility and this is part of our commitment to making sure students have the support they need to succeed in the classroom.

“I congratulate Sacred Heart Primary School on making the most out of the Capital Grants Program and I’m happy to see that the facilities are going to be a great support for our budding students as they grow and prepare to make their contribution to society in the future.

“We’re ensuring that every child gets a quality education no matter where they go to school.”

The Government has committed $703 million until 2022 through the Capital Grants Program, which provides funding for non-government schools to improve capital infrastructure.
