Maranoa MP David Littleproud thanked Peter Soloman for his commitment and service to the Texas community, as the paramedic was today announced on the Queen’s Birthday 2021 Honours List.
“Congratulations Peter, on your well-deserved recognition today and being presented with an Ambulance Service Medal for your 18 years of service with the Queensland Ambulance Service, and your commitment to the Texas community,” Mr Littleproud said.
“As the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) at Texas Ambulance Station, Peter is well-respected by his peers and community, and has shown outstanding commitment, dedication and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
“It’s a credit to Peter to be recognised for his efforts, and we are fortunate to have an accomplished first responder like Peter providing care for our rural community.”

Mr Peter Solomon has had a long and distinguished career as a member of the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS), commencing in 2002 as a Paramedic at Runaway Bay Ambulance Station, Gold Coast Local Ambulance Service Network (LASN).
During his distinguished career he has also provided frontline services at various stations in the Gold Coast LASN, and is currently employed as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) at Texas Ambulance Station, Darling Downs LASN where he is highly regarded by his peers.
