Bridging the gap at Dalby Community Hall

Disabled access is coming to the Dalby Community Hall with $10,000 secured through the Stronger Communities Program, Maranoa MP David Littleproud announced today.

“The renovations to permit disabled access will be undertaken by the Kath Dickson Family Centre and in the true sense of community, these upgrades will benefit all groups who make use of the Dalby Community Hall,” Mr Littleproud said.

“Catering for the disabled and elderly guarantees that anyone can get involved with a community group – strengthening social ties means we are all contributing and bringing our worth to the table.

“I’m a firm believer in bringing people together and improving community services across Maranoa because it has a positive flow-on effect on our quality of life and how we support each other – making improvements to the Dalby Community Hall reflects this.

“Our bush communities are the heart of this country and I want to make sure that small capital projects are funded and the community gets exactly what it needs.”

Round 5 of the Stronger Communities Programme has seen $150,000 in Federal Government funding made available to Maranoa community groups.

Project grants range from $2500 to $20,000 to help bolster rural communities.
