Community Child Care Funds to hit the ground – supporting families and providers in St George

Maranoa MP David Littleproud today announced NCC Early Leaners St George will make use of $65,000 through the Federal Government’s Community Child Care Fund (CCCF) to manage operational costs.

“This funding supports the long-term sustainability of NCC Early Learners St George by helping to cover day-to-day costs and ensures families in the St George region can access child care services,” Mr Littleproud said.

“CCCF grants provide a win-win situation for our kids, their families and child care service providers across Maranoa.

“This investment supports Maranoa providers to overcome some of the unique challenges child care services in the city don’t face – such as attracting and retaining qualified staff.

“The CCCF is part of the Child Care Safety Net program, which aims to give the most vulnerable children a strong start and provide great opportunities for hard-working families in the Charleville region to work, learn or volunteer.

“Well-utilised child care services across Maranoa boost morale and families have a better chance to participate in the local community.”

Maranoa received about $1.1 million in Round Two of CCCF grants. The Federal Government has provided more than $120 million to 800 providers over five years to support more families to access child care through the CCCF.
