Congratulations to Carol Paterson for her Queen’s Birthday 2021 Honours List recognition

Maranoa MP David Littleproud congratulated Carol Paterson for her commitment and service to horse sports and the Texas community after she was today announced on the Queen’s Birthday 2021 Honours List.

“Congratulations Carol, on your well-deserved recognition today and being presented with an OAM for your outstanding commitment and dedication to Pony Club, both locally and on a national level,” Mr Littleproud said.

“Carol’s commitment to the Texas Pony Club has spanned more than 50 years, as a founding member and long-serving Chief Instructor of the Club.

“During this time, Carol has represented our rural communities at the highest level, serving in various positions on the Pony Club Association Queensland committee and the Pony Club Australia committee.

“Carol’s ongoing volunteer efforts and service through Pony Club and the Texas Show Society represent her outstanding commitment to horse sports and a genuine desire to nurture and develop young riders, not just as fine horsemen and women but as good citizens, with a sense of self worth, respect and responsibility.

“It’s a credit to Carol to be recognised for her efforts, and we are fortunate to have a dedicated volunteer and trailblazer like Carol driving our rural communities.”
