School students at Assumption College Warwick will benefit from new design, IT, PE and music rooms thanks to $1.2 million in funding from the Coalition Federal Government, Maranoa MP David Littleproud said today while officially opening the new facilities.
“I’m impressed with Assumption College’s new developments because having state-of-the-art facilities give students a great platform to learn skills that our communities need for the future,” Mr Littleproud said.
“It’s exciting to see this expansion because the Federal Government wants to give regional students the best chance to succeed and having state-of-the-art facilities like these here at Assumption College benefit the whole school community.
“Education is a state responsibility and this is part of our commitment to making sure students have the support they need to succeed in the classroom.
“I congratulate Assumption College on making the most out of the Capital Grants Program and I’m happy to see that the facilities are going to be a great support for our budding students as they become adults and prepare to make their contribution.”
The Government has committed $703 million until 2022, which provides funding for non-government schools to improve capital infrastructure.
