August 12, 2019

School students at Chinchilla Christian College will benefit from new art, science and technology rooms thanks to $1,955,000 in funding from the Federal Government, Maranoa MP David Littleproud said today while officially opening the new facility.

“I’m impressed with Chinchilla Christian College’s new developments because having state-of-the-art facilities give students a great platform to learn skills that our communities need for the future,” Mr Littleproud said.

“I grew up next door to the Christian College so I’ve seen this school grow over the years, and it’s exciting to see this expansion.

“The Federal Government wants to give regional students the best chance to succeed and having state-of-the-art facilities benefits the whole school community.

“Education is a state responsibility and this is part of our commitment to making sure students have the support they need to succeed in the classroom.

“I congratulate Chinchilla Christian College on making the most out of the Capital Grants Program and I’m happy to see that the facilities are going to be a great support for our budding students as they become adults and prepare to make their contribution.”

The Government has committed $703 million until 2022, which provides funding for non-government schools to improve capital infrastructure.
