Maranoa MP urges applications for Leadership for our Regions Program
Maranoa MP David Littleproud is urging future leaders of the South Burnett community to get involved and apply for scholarships in the inaugural Leadership for our Regions program.
“The program, which runs in two sessions over eight days, will give participants a strong understanding of leadership and build a network of future leaders to discuss economic and social issues,” Mr Littleproud said.
“The Wide Bay Burnett region will be the first to benefit from this new program which looks at economic factors affecting the area and establishing initiatives that drive economic growth.
“Leadership for our Regions is aimed at people deeply committed to their region who have a desire to serve the community and drive initiatives that boost growth in the future.
“It’s all about securing South Burnett’s future and prosperity by fostering our leaders of tomorrow, now.”
The program secured $577,948 through the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Cities and Regional Development for 24 scholarships.
Applications are open until June 20 for the sessions, which will be held in early August.
