Texas, Inglewood, Millmerran: Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support Mobile Services Coming Soon

Mobile Service Centre Golden Wattle is hitting the road, presenting locals in Texas, Inglewood and Millmerran with a chance to easily access Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support services.

Minister for Government Services, Stuart Robert, said Golden Wattle provides tailored support and information to people in rural communities.

“Mobile Service Centres reinforce the Australian Government’s commitment to delivering the best services to all Australians, regardless of where they live,” Minister Robert said.

“These trucks are purpose-built to replicate a service centre, complete with the latest technology.”

Member for Maranoa David Littleproud said Golden Wattle will be welcomed by locals as it travels through Texas, Inglewood and Millmerran over the coming weeks.

“I encourage you to find out when and where you can access the Mobile Service Centre because it’s a great opportunity meet face-to-face with specialist staff without having to travel further afield,” Mr Littleproud said.

“Staff on board Golden Wattle can help locals with Farm Household Allowance, Centrelink claims, Medicare registrations and online services – it’s a great way to find solutions to problems and stay informed about any changes.

“A departmental social worker will be on board, and information about Department of Veterans’ Affairs programs and associated support services will also be available.

“You don’t need an appointment, and it’s free – so anyone who needs help or has a question should visit the team aboard Golden Wattle.”
