WINTON IS BEING RECOGNISED FOR ITS HIGH QUALITY OF LIFE AND TOURISM

The Leader of The Nationals and Member for Maranoa David Littleproud has congratulated the town of Winton in the Maranoa region for winning the Silver Medal in the Tiny Town of the Year category at the Top Tourism Awards.

Mr Littleproud said it was great to see the home of Waltzing Matilda and the birthplace of Qantas still being recognised for its ongoing significant achievements to this day.

“There are so many incredible things about the towns spread across Maranoa and it is always a pleasure to see any of them being recognised for a high quality of life and tourism,” Mr Littleproud said.

“Winton is the Dinosaur Capital of Australia and I encourage all travellers to take the time to explore the town.”

QTIC’s Queensland Top Tourism Town Awards is designed to recognise the state’s regional destinations and commend our regional towns for their strides in business, community, and tourism, along with other factors.
